Julie Jorgensen is an energy industry executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience, driving innovation and change in the power industry. She has led many teams developing large infrastructure projects in the U.S. and globally.
Prior to foundingGreenMark, Jorgensen was the Co-President and CEO of Excelsior Energy. Previously, she served as the CEO and a member of the board of directors of CogenAmerica, a publicly-traded independent power company, and before that, was part of the senior leadership team that made NRG Energy a leading global competitive power company, in her role as Vice President and General Counsel.

Jorgensen started her career as an attorney in the Los Angeles office of Morrison & Foerster. She is a member of the California and Minnesota Bar, has dual U.S. - Italian citizenship, and resides in St. Paul, Minnesota.
